Understanding Alliance Shield X and QR Code Enrollment Alliance Shield X is a powerful mobile device management (MDM) tool primarily designed for . It allows users to take deep control over their Android devices without needing to root them. One of its most critical setup methods for advanced control is through QR code enrollment , which leverages Android’s "Device Owner" mode to grant the app high-level administrative permissions. Key Features of Alliance Shield X

  • Generates encrypted, expirable QR codes
  • Validates user/device identity before granting access
  • Logs every scan for compliance
  1. Issuer signs a verifiable credential (VC) asserting attributes A and B and issues it to Holder.
  2. Holder requests a selective disclosure presentation revealing only attribute A; their wallet creates a signed presentation P with a short TTL.
  3. Holder generates a QR encoding P (possibly compressed/CBOR + base45 or zlib).
  4. Verifier scans QR, checks signature against issuer keys published in the consortium registry cache, confirms TTL and attribute A, then grants access.
  5. Later, Verifier can check revocation by querying the online revocation API or scheduled registry snapshot updates.
