The Main Event: Chainsaw Man at Universal Studios Japan

While there is no "Hot Spring Travel" story arc in the Chainsaw Man manga or anime, the franchise has recently taken over Japan's tourism scene through massive location-based events and collaborations. Fans can now step into Denji’s world through high-energy theme park attractions, character-themed hotel stays, and real-life pilgrimages to Tokyo locations featured in the upcoming Reze Arc movie.

“The hot spring is where Chainsaw Man shows its soul. Not in the fights, but in the moments after – when the steam hides tears, and the warm water can’t wash away loss.” Chainsaw Man Hot Spring Travel

Day 1: The Arrival (The Denji Phase)

  • Overarching storyline: Guests arrive at a secluded hot-spring inn rumored to host “Devil echoes”; through staged encounters and environmental storytelling guests experience character-driven vignettes (healing, betrayal, sacrifice, humor).
  • Key experience pillars:
    • NO YAKUZA TATTOOS? Actually, most public onsens are fine now, but rural "Chainsaw Man" style inns may ask you to cover large tattoos. Bring a skin-colored patch. Makima would want you to be inconspicuous.
    • NO SWIMSUITS: You must be naked. This is non-negotiable. Denji doesn't wear trunks in the bath, neither should you.
    • NO BATHING IN THE WASHING STATION: Wash before you get in the tub. Power may try to cheat this. Do not emulate Power.
