Replacing the volume control (potentiometer) on the Creative GigaWorks T3

  1. Unplug the T3 from power.
  2. Pop the rubber grip off the volume knob.
  3. Remove the hex screw underneath to pull the plastic knob off.
  4. You will see the metal encoder shaft. Spray a small amount of cleaner into the gap around the shaft.
  5. Rotate the knob vigorously for 60 seconds.
  6. Let it dry for 15 minutes.

for 1–6 months

Spraying contact cleaner (DeoxIT D5) into the pot's small openings will work . The cleaner removes oxidation but cannot rebuild worn carbon. However, after you install the new pot , I strongly recommend spraying a tiny amount of DeoxIT F5 (Fader Lube) into the new pot before sealing the pod. 6. Reassemble and Test
