Problem 3: The App Says "Update Available," But Nothing Happens

Cause:

The downloaded file is corrupted. Fix: Delete the cached update from your app settings. Re-download the firmware. Disable any VPN or ad-blocker on your phone that might intercept the download.

  1. Charge the battery (if portable) to at least 50%.
  2. Place the camera within 10 feet of your router—don’t do this from the nursery on the other side of the house.
  3. Open the parent app > Settings > Device > Firmware Update.
  4. Wait. The LED will blink purple/orange. Walk away. Do not touch the app.
  5. The camera will reboot (click noise + pan/tilt reset). You will hear a chime.

5. Verify Update

Return to About Device in the app. The new firmware version should be displayed. Perform a quick function test (camera, motion sensor, two-way audio).
