How to Verify Success
Using AsProgrammer (Windows):
- Don’t hot-swap: Always disconnect the programmer via software (if possible) before unplugging the USB cable or the target chip.
- Voltage matching: The JR Programmer V2 typically operates at 3.3V logic. Do NOT directly connect to 5V chips without a level shifter.
- Clip orientation: Double-check the pin 1 orientation on your target chip. Incorrect connection can overheat the chip or the programmer.
- Click the Start button and select Settings (Gear icon).
- Go to Update & Security > Recovery.
- Under "Advanced startup", click Restart now.
- The computer will reboot into a blue menu. Click Troubleshoot.
- Click Advanced options > Startup Settings.
- Click Restart.
- The system will reboot again and present a list of options. Press F7 (or the number 7) to select Disable driver signature enforcement.
- Windows will start normally. Repeat Step 4 (Method B) above to install the drivers. This time, Windows will accept the unsigned files.
