4. Firmware Features & Capabilities

Implication: No future firmware updates will be released to address the vulnerabilities listed in Section 3.
Availability: Firmware files are generally only available through third-party archive sites or legacy support pages, though downloading these carries the risk of tampering.

2. Update Stuck at 50% / “Upgrade Failed”

Navigate: Go to Maintenance -> Firmware Update.

Upload: Browse to the extracted firmware file (if it was a zip, extract the .bin or .img file inside first). Click "Update".

Wait: The router will reboot. Do not unplug the power for at least 3–5 minutes.

Reset (Recommended): After a major firmware update, it is often good practice to perform a "Factory Reset" (holding the reset button on the back for 10 seconds) to clear old configuration conflicts.

Login to the router web interface.
Go to Management → Upgrade Firmware.
Click Browse and select the firmware file.
Uncheck “Retain old settings” (seriously – do this). Old config files often corrupt new features.
Click Upgrade.
Do not touch anything for 5–7 minutes. The router will reboot twice – first into a bootloader, then into the new firmware.
