If you buy a PDF, ensure it includes the "Sl-2" supplement. Hino released many running changes for the F21C in 2002 regarding the EGR valve. A generic 1998 manual will not cover the 2002 EGR calibration.

• Every 500–1,000 km or daily (fleet): Visual inspection—leaks, belts, coolant level, warning lights.
• Every 5,000–10,000 km or 250 hours: Engine oil & filter change; check air filter; inspect fan belt; top up fluids.

• Every 80,000–120,000 km or 4,000–6,000 hours: Major service—injector cleaning/calibration, timing belt replacement (if interference engine), water pump, full coolant flush, in-depth inspection of pistons, rings, cylinder bores (if compression low).
• As needed: Replace timing belt/chain per OEM interval—do not exceed recommended replacement interval.
