Installing the Google Play Store on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) requires manually sideloading four specific APK files in a precise order. While Google officially ended Play Services support for Android 5.1 in , you can still install the last compatible stable versions to access apps. Once all four APKs are installed, do not open the Store immediately.
- Download MicroG Services Core, Services Framework Proxy, and Fake Store from F-Droid.
- Use NanoDroid or MinMicroG packages designed for Android 5.1.
Before You Begin:
- Open your file manager, tap the Google Account Manager APK → Install.
- Repeat for Google Services Framework, then Google Play Services, then Google Play Store.
- If an app fails to install due to a newer version already present, uninstall updates or remove the conflicting package (some system apps may block this).
- Reboot the device after all installs.
