The HW-044 is a widely used, low-cost RS232 to TTL converter module built around the MAX3232 IC, which operates between 3.0V and 5.5V, making it compatible with 3.3V and 5V systems. Note:
ESP32 ADC is non-linear near the rails. The HW-044 at 3.3V works well, but expect reduced total range (~0.2V to 3.1V). The HW-044 is a widely used, low-cost RS232
