Overview of JDK 17

Example output:

  1. Press Win + X → System → Advanced system settings.
  2. Click Environment Variables.
  3. Under System variables, find Path → click Edit.
  4. Click New → add: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-17.0.x\bin
    (Replace 17.0.x with your exact version folder name)
  5. Click OK on all dialogs.

    • Cause: The direct link redirects through Oracle’s license acceptance.
    • Fix: Use a browser with cookies enabled, or use the official page link, accept the OTN license, then copy the final download URL.
