Joint Push Pull Interactive [updated] Free Online
Joint Push Pull Interactive
is a widely acclaimed SketchUp extension developed by Fredo6 that overcomes the native tool's inability to extrude multiple or curved surfaces . While historically free, it has transitioned to a paid model (approximately $15) and requires the free LibFredo6 library to function . Key Features
- Normal JPP: Use this 90% of the time. It simply thickens a curved wall straight up/out.
- Interactive JPP: Use this when you want the top of the extrusion to be "tilted" or when you need to manually manipulate the orientation of the pull relative to the curve.
- Push value: When you contribute data, a tag, or a fix, you are pushing value into the shared pool.
- Pull value: When you query, filter, or fork, you are pulling customized value out.
- The magic: In a truly “free” interactive system, the user decides the ratio. Want to lurk and pull? Fine. Want to push constantly? Also fine.
Free: The Unlocking of Potential
- Power dynamics: push mechanisms can become coercive if centralized; ensuring freedom requires checks, transparency, and avenues for dissent.
- Accessibility and equity: "free" access must be meaningful—low barriers, multilingual support, and resource provisions prevent exclusion.
- Privacy and consent: push notifications or proactive data sharing should respect user consent; interactive designs must guard sensitive flows.
- Sustainability: open, joint systems must avoid relying on unpaid labor or hidden costs; governance and funding models should be fair.
Multi-Face Extrusion:
Unlike the native tool, it can extrude multiple connected faces at once. joint push pull interactive free
