Korg Z1 Vst -
The Korg Z1 VST: A Comprehensive Review
Features of Korg Z1 VST
MOSS (Multi-Oscillator Synthesis System)
The Z1 was built on Korg’s proprietary tone generator. Unlike a subtractive synth, the Z1 had no static oscillators. Instead, it ran six real-time DSP algorithms:
- No MIDI communication: check cables, MIDI channel, drivers, and that the DAW’s MIDI output is routed to the interface.
- Latency or audio dropouts: increase buffer size in audio interface settings; use ASIO drivers on Windows.
- Editor won’t detect hardware: try standalone editor first, power-cycle Z1, verify MIDI IN/OUT wiring, update drivers.
- Plugin not scanned: ensure correct plugin folder, rescan plugins in DAW, check 32-bit vs 64-bit compatibility (use a bridge if needed).
