Lemuroid is a popular all-in-one emulator for Android that supports arcade games through MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) cores. • ROM set compatibility is strict. You cannot just use any random MAME ROM from the internet. Lemuroid expects a MAME 0.78 ROM set (sometimes called "MAME2003 reference set"). Newer ROMs (from MAME 0.150+) often fail to load or crash.
• Parent/clones matter. You need the parent ROM (e.g., sf2.zip) before clones (sf2ce.zip) work. Lemuroid won't warn you – it'll just silently fail.
• No CHD support. Larger games like Killer Instinct, Cruis'n USA, or NBA Jam (hard drive/CHD versions) will not run. Stick to smaller ROMs under ~20MB.
• Less accurate than standalone MAME. Hardcore arcade purists will notice occasional sound glitches or input lag in some obscure games. For 99% of players, it's fine.
