Polarity: The MB-252 is not polarity protected. Reversing Red and Black wires at the battery will blow the fuse immediately and may damage the connected transceiver.
Routing: When installing, route the MB-252 wiring away from vehicle hot spots (exhaust manifold) and moving parts (accelerator cables).
Fuse Placement: The fuse on the Red wire must be located within 18 inches (45 cm) of the battery terminal to protect the vehicle wiring harness in the event of a short circuit.
