Nokia C7 Themes Work __hot__ -
Here’s an interesting little story from the early 2010s about how Nokia C7 themes worked — and why they were surprisingly ahead of their time.
- Resource IDs: UI elements reference resource IDs resolved by the theming engine to images in the active theme package.
- Icon mapping: the theme contains .sIS or .tsk mappings linking icon filenames to application IDs; missing icons fall back to default theme.
- Color and style variables: theme defines palette entries used by the renderer for text, highlight, and background tints. Some UI widgets read colors; others use hardcoded styling.
- Layout resources: some elements (softkeys, notification bar) have fixed layout containers; themes supply artwork sized to those containers. If artwork dimensions mismatch, the renderer scales or crops.

- Manually set the date back to January 1, 2012 (or any date between 2010 and 2014).
- Install your
.sisxtheme file. It will work perfectly. - Once installed, go back and turn on automatic date/time. (The theme stays active even after you fix the date).
