In the Tunod region, you are not limited to the standard three starters. Professor Willow offers from the Sinnoh region and beyond: Turtwig (Grass) Chimchar (Fire) Piplup (Water) Shinx (Electric) Riolu (Fighting)
- Use the DexNav Feature: Glazed includes a modified DexNav (press R on an empty route). It shows you which Pokémon you haven’t caught in that area.
- Weather-based Spawns: Some Pokémon (like Castform and Lotad) only appear in rain. Others (like Gible) only appear in sandstorms on Rankor.
- Time-based Spawns: Glazed uses a real-time clock. Hoothoot, Murkrow, and Ghastly appear at night.
- In-Game Trades: There are 12 trades in Glazed. You can get a Steelix for a Lickitung and a Gengar for a Haunter—no friends needed.
- Shiny Hunters’ Note: The shiny rate in Glazed is the same as Gen 3 (1/8192), but the DexNav chain method increases odds slightly.
