Some users wish qBittorrent would add eD2K support, but as of now, it is not on the development roadmap. You must use a dedicated eD2K client.

Despite lacking native support, advanced users can use qBittorrent alongside an ed2k client via two methods:

Different Protocols

: BitTorrent (what qBittorrent uses) relies on "trackers" or DHT to find peers for specific files. ed2k uses a server-based or decentralized Kad network that functions entirely differently.
