12. Maintenance
- This unit can be mounted in an electronics rack or on a bulkhead, ideally in a well-ventilated area protected from moisture.
- Connections for power, data, and optionally for interfacing with other electronics (like chartplotters) are detailed.
: Connects to the second designated terminal (typically terminal 12).
- Red: +12/24V DC power (from autopilot computer’s sensor power output)
- Black: Ground
- Yellow: Feedback signal output (to the autopilot computer’s feedback input)
- Green: Shield/drain wire (connect to ground at the computer end only – never at the sensor end)
The Good (What works well):
- Red: +5V DC Supply (from Autopilot)
- Blue/Black: Signal Output
- Green/Yellow: Ground (Shield)
