Smallville Season 3 May 2026
Overview
Season 3
If Smallville Season 1 was about the "freak of the week" and Season 2 was about discovering origins, is where the show truly grew up. Often cited by fans as the best—and certainly the darkest—entry in the series, Season 3 moved away from the sunny optimism of Kansas and delved deep into the psychological toll of destiny, betrayal, and the corrupting influence of power.
- Episode 1: "Exile" – Red K Clark is terrifying and fun. It redefines the character.
- Episode 9: "Asylum" – The infamous "Lex in the insane asylum" episode. Watch for the brutal confrontation between Clark and Lex.
- Episode 14: "Obsession" – A stalker with X-ray vision exposes the dangers of Clark’s secret.
- Episode 15: "Resurrection" – A medical drama mixed with Kryptonian ethics as Clark tries to save a dying boy.
- Episode 17: "Legacy" – The death of Jonathan Kent’s father (Hiram) and the passing of the Kent family legacy.
- Episode 19: "Memoria" – The most heartbreaking episode of the series. Lex’s repressed memory of his brother’s murder.
- Episode 20: "Talisman" – A Native American Kryptonian warrior tries to kill Clark with a magical dagger. Action-packed.
- Episode 22: "Covenant" – The finale introduces a rogue Kryptonian named Kara (not Supergirl, but a false one) and ends with a devastating tornado that rips the Kent farm apart.
The Burden of Secrets:
Pete Ross (Sam Jones III) eventually leaves the show this season, citing the physical and emotional toll of keeping Clark’s secret—a grounded, realistic take on the "superhero sidekick" trope. smallville season 3
