Tenda N3 — Firmware Update Verified

Before you begin

In this post, we’ll walk you through exactly how to verify, download, and install the correct firmware for your Tenda N3 — without risking a bricked device.

• Connect to your Tenda N3 (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
• Open a browser and go to 192.168.0.1 (default).
• Login (default: admin / admin).
• Go to Advanced → System Tools → Firmware Upgrade to see current version.

• Username: admin
• Password: admin (or the password you set during initial setup)

4. Integrity Verification (Pre-Flash)

1. Log in to your Tenda N3 router using the same IP address and admin credentials as before.
2. Click on the Advanced Setup or System Tools tab.
3. Look for the Firmware Upgrade or Update Firmware section.
4. Click on the Browse button and select the downloaded firmware file.
5. Click on the Upgrade or Update button to start the firmware update process.
6. Wait for the update to complete. This may take a few minutes.
7. Once the update is complete, your router will reboot automatically.
