To get your save data working on AetherSX2 (or NetherSX2), you generally need to address region compatibility or folder directory paths. 💾 The Direct Fix

  1. Open Aethersx2 Config: While the game is still running, open the Aethersx2 configuration window by pressing "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "C" (or navigate to "Emulator" > "Configure" in some versions).
  2. Navigate to the "Memory" Tab: In the configuration window, navigate to the "Memory" tab.
  3. Set Save Type: Under "Memory Card", select "Use Memory Card" and choose a save type (e.g., "Memory Card (Auto)").
  • Create a New Card:

    Settings

    Open AetherSX2. On the main screen, tap the three-line menu (hamburger icon) → → Memory Cards .

    • In AetherSX2, go to Settings → Memory Cards / BIOS & Paths.
    • Set the memory card slot(s) to use internal storage (not external removable SD path) to avoid Android sandboxing issues.
    • Use the default memory card sizes (e.g., 8 MB). If you changed sizes previously, reset to defaults.
