- Produce UI wireframes for the key screens (Projects, Installs, Health Check).
- Draft CLI command set and JSON schemas.
- Create an implementation roadmap with milestones and estimates.
- Backup your Hub configuration: Navigate to
%USERPROFILE%\.unityhub (Windows) or ~/.unityhub (Mac). Copy the license and preferences files.
- Download from the official archive: Go to Unity’s download archive or simply open your current Hub. Go to Settings > About > Check for Updates. The auto-updater will pull 2.4.5 directly.
- Do not uninstall the old version first. The installer for 2.4.5 will overwrite necessary binaries while preserving your installed editor versions.
- Verify your paths: After install, go to Settings > Locations. Ensure your "Projects" and "Editors" paths are still correct. Version 2.4.5 does a better job of auto-detecting these, but double-check.
