- No 64-bit native runtime: Vijeo Designer remains a 32-bit application. It runs on 64-bit Windows, but cannot address more than 4 GB of RAM per process.
- Limited Unicode support: While English and Western European languages work flawlessly, some Cyrillic and Asian character sets may still render incorrectly in datalogger exports.
- OPC DA only (not UA Server): The HMI can act as an OPC DA server, but not as an OPC UA server. For UA server functionality, you need an external gateway.
- Maximum variables: 12,000 variables per project (hard limit). If you exceed this, you must split the application across multiple HMIs.
