Component Protection Removal

: Unlocking modules such as infotainment systems, HVAC units, or digital cockpits that "lock down" when moved to a different vehicle to prevent the use of stolen parts.

  1. Connect ODIS → Vehicle identification.
  2. Select “Adaptation → Immobilizer → Add Key”.
  3. ODIS detects that the immobilizer ECU is SFD-protected.
  4. System requests GEKO token insertion and prompts for user PIN.
  5. Backend verifies: token active, user role includes “Key Programming”.
  6. After approval, ODIS receives a one-time session key valid for 10 minutes.
  7. Key programming proceeds; all actions logged.

Component Protection (CP) Removal:

Unlocks replacement modules (like the Information Electronics 005F module) that are locked to a specific VIN by the manufacturer.
