Vw Polo 6n Dashboard Removal Updated (2027)

The VW Polo 6N (1994–1999/2000) is a classic of utilitarian design, but removing its dashboard is a deep-dive project typically reserved for heater matrix replacements or intensive electrical troubleshooting. Pre-Removal Preparation

  • Use a Torx T20 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the instrument cluster in place
  • Gently pull the instrument cluster out of its mounting bracket
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the back of the instrument cluster
  • Set the instrument cluster aside

Tools needed:

  • Unplug airbag module (yellow connector) – store safely.
  • Remove clockspring (steering column) – mark centered position.
