To archive your Wii's (internal flash memory), you must use BootMii . This process creates a bit-for-bit "dump" of your system memory, which serves as a vital insurance policy against "bricking" (software failure) and allows you to use your system files in the Dolphin Emulator . Prerequisites

  1. Launch the Homebrew Channel and load BootMii.
  2. Using the power (navigate) and reset (select) buttons on the console (not the Wii remote), go to the icon with gears (Options).
  3. Select the icon with a green arrow pointing to an SD card: Backup NAND.
  4. Wait approximately 30–45 minutes. The process reads every block of the 512MB chip. Do not power off the console.
