It is important to note that Xenia does not have a built-in "menu" to view controls while playing. You must know the mapping beforehand or change it in the configuration file. xenia emulator keyboard controls
- No response from keys? Ensure no other device (virtual gamepad) is detected. Xenia may prioritize a connected controller.
- Keys repeating or sticking? This is due to digital emulation of analog triggers. Avoid binding analog actions (LT/RT) to keys you need partial control for.
- Recommended tool: Use Keyboard2Xinput (a small program that maps keyboard to a virtual Xbox controller) for complete, customizable control outside Xenia. Launch it before Xenia, and Xenia will see a standard gamepad.
- Save frequently: Editing
xenia.config.tomlincorrectly can break input entirely. Back up the file before changes.
