Xshell's allow you to create custom keyword colorization to make Cisco CLI output more readable , such as highlighting status words like up or down and identifying IP addresses. How to Create a Cisco Highlight Set
- Access Xshell: Launch Xshell and connect to the Cisco device.
- Create a New Highlight Set: Go to Settings > Highlight Sets and create a new set.
- Define Keywords and Phrases: Define keywords and phrases to highlight, such as error messages or configuration changes.
- Customize Highlighting: Customize the highlighting options, such as color and font style.
Once your set is created, you need to tell XShell to use it for your Cisco sessions. xshell highlight sets cisco
- Select Highlight Sets.
- Check the box Enable Highlight Sets.
- Select your "Cisco_CLI" set from the dropdown menu.
