Parashara's Light 8.0

is an established version of the industry-leading Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) software, known for its high computational precision and intuitive graphical interface. While version 9.0 is the current flagship release as of 2026, version 8.0 remains a significant milestone, particularly for its expansion into Android and macOS ecosystems. Core Functionality

1. Enter a test chart (0-15 min): Use your own birth data or a known celebrity (e.g., Einstein: March 14, 1879; 11:30 AM; Ulm, Germany). Select Lahiri ayanamsha, Geocentric planets.
2. Examine the Rasi chart (15-25 min): Click on each planet. Read the auto-interpretation panel on the right. Notice how it mentions yogas (e.g., “Gaja Kesari Yoga” if Moon and Jupiter are in kendras).
3. Generate a Vimshottari Dasha timeline (25-35 min): Set start date from birth, end date 80 years later. See the graphic bar. Click on the Mahadasha of Venus – the software lists effects.
4. Look at the Navamsa (D9) (35-45 min): Toggle to divisional charts. Compare the 1st house of D1 with D9. Read the “D9 strengthening” notes.
5. Run a compatibility check (45-55 min): Enter a partner’s data (real or fictional). Examine the Kuta score and Mangal Dosha report.
6. Export a report (55-60 min): Go to Reports → Full Life Reading → PDF. Save it and open in Adobe. Notice the bookmarks (Contents, Graha Status, Dasha Timelines).
